They first met at 8 and 9 years old at Mae Stevens Elementary school in Copperas Cove, TX. Breanne knew he was her person when they first met on the play-ground playing tag with their friends. At the age of 10 Breanne's family moved away, and she thought that would be the last time she'd ever see him. Then in 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans causing Breanne and her family to evacuate to Copperas Cove. Breanne was so excited about going back because she was hopeful that she'd get to see Wesley again.
Shortly after Katrina made landfall, Breanne's mom enrolled her and her sister into S.C Lee Junior High, where to Breanne's excitement, she saw her first crush again. She was walking into the school as he was standing outside waiting for his mom. Breanne walked up to Wesley, and asked him if he remembered her and he just had a blank look on his face LOL!
Breanne's feelings were a little hurt because she remembered him.
16 years later, Breanne added Wesley on FaceBook, and she tried testing the waters but Wesley was in a relationship at the time.
But, just when the love birds had both given up on love, Breanne just happened to be on FaceBook on Wesley's birthday and something told her to tell him "Happy Birthday", and something told him to do more than just say thank you.
He messaged her back and she confessed that she had a crush on him since she was 8 years old, he asked if she still had the crush and for the first time in her life she chose to put it out there that she very much so still liked him and well, that confession sparked a domino effect for the love birds. For the first time Wesley took a chance and drove 13 hours from Amarillo, Texas to New Orleans, LA to see her for the first time since they were 13.
They both were nervous about the meeting, but as soon as she laid eyes on him and they kissed for the very first time they both felt that spark letting them know that they were meant for each other. That weekend that he first came to visit, Breanne's family was celebrating her Grandparents 60th wedding anniversary and at their house is when she told her mother that she knew Wesley was her person and she was hanging up her pimp card for good.
After that first trip Wesley's bosses' were so supportive that he was able to come down every few weeks so that they could spend time together. Wesley was the first man she ever brought home to meet her Grandparents.
Wesley proposed 2 months after they started dating, and After making 9 trips back and forward from Amarillo to New Orleans, Breanne flew to Amarillo, helped him pack up the u-haul and the 2 of them made that final trip from Amarillo down to New Orleans where they now live. On April 19, 2024 the two got legally married in front of their family and their mothers' were their witnesses.


April 19, 2026 will be their second wedding anniversary and they are excited to share in their love with everyone they hold dear to their heart.
